The Monastery of the Holy Eucharist in Sibonga, Cebu, also known as the Sa Church, offers a spiritual and awe-inspiring experience for visitors. While the entrance fee to the monastery is free, there is a minimal parking fee of PHP 50 for those arriving by vehicle. One of the significant traditions at the monastery is lighting candles, which symbolize prayers and intentions of the faithful. Each candle costs PHP 35 and can be purchased within the monastery.
Visitors can engage in various activities at the Monastery, such as pilgrimage walks, attending mass and prayer services, exploring prayer rooms and grottos, lighting candles for intentions, admiring religious artifacts, climbing the grand stairway panoramic views, and participating in processions and festivals. Visitors are encouraged to observe the dress code, respectful behavior, and follow the rules and regulations the church while enjoying the peaceful ambiance and serene environment.
To reach the Monastery, visitors can follow detailed transportation steps from Cebu City or Oslob, including hiring a habal-habal (motorcycle) from the jumping-off point. The Mon is open daily from 8 AM to 6 PM, and there are no specific restrictions for visitors. Additionally, visitors can expect to see the beautiful church building, paintings, and the miraculous Mama Mary statue while capturing the picturesque views and engaging in quiet contemplation within the shrine’s premises.
